This 55-minute video contains the unedited footage of Robert
Goulding's presentation on scripts, which was originally offered as one part of
the TA 101 course presented by founding ITAA members during the 25th
Anniversary ITAA Summer Conference in 1987. In addition to its historical
value, this discussion represents some of Bob's finest work and provides a
unique opportunity to witness a master teacher. This video can be used to
supplement advanced training, supervision, or teaching, and it also allows
trainers and supervisors to bring Bob's wisdom on scripts into their own
offices. 
Robert Goulding was an early colleague of Eric Berne and
the codeveloper, with his wife Mary Goulding, of redecision therapy, a model
that draws on transactional analysis, gestalt, and other modalities to create a
unique and effective means of helping people make lasting changes in their
lives. For many years, the Gouldings ran training programs at their Western
Institute for Group and Family Therapy in Watsonville, California, as well as
traveled all over the world to teach transactional analysis and redecision
therapy. Bob was the author of numerous articles and coauthor with Mary of two
books: The Power Is in the Patient and Changing Lives through
Redecision Therapy. They were also the recipients of the Eric Berne Memorial
Scientific Award (1975) for their work on injunctions.
