Instructions to Authors

1. If possible, please send manuscripts via email to robinfryer@aol.com or send six copies on one side of 8½ x 11" opaque paper to TAJ Managing Editor Robin Fryer, 1700 Ganges Ave., El Cerrito, CA 94530-1938, USA. Figures must be camera-ready in one-column size (2½" wide) or, if absolutely necessary, in two-column size (5¼" wide). Authors will be charged for additional work required to prepare figures for printing.
   
   
2. Manuscripts should be single-spaced (including references, quotes, tables) in 12-point type with 1" margins.
   
   
3. On separate page include author's name, degree, ITAA membership category (if any), address, work and home phone numbers, email address, and current professional activity. The rest of the manuscript must be free of information identifying the author.
   
   
4. Follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 5th Edition, especially for text and end references. Do not use footnotes.
   
   
5. Include an abstract as described in the APA Manual
   
   
6. For case studies, enclose a separate sheet signed by the author stating that permission has been obtained by any client(s) described in the article, and that the author agrees to hold the Transactional Analysis Journal blameless in the event of a lawsuit resulting from the article's publication.
   
   
7. Use gender-inclusive language: do not use masculine pronouns to refer to people in general.
   
   
8. Indicate if manuscript is under consideration or has been published elsewhere.
