The Eric Berne Fund for the Future
In 1983, The Eric Berne Fund for the Future was
created by the ITAA Board of Trustees "to establish into perpetuity, funds for
the sponsoring of research, the promotion and use of transactional analysis,
building worldwide unity and supporting professional standards." Grant
applicants may be individuals or organizations, both not-for-profit and
for-profit (special royalty or profit-sharing agreements may be required from
for-profits). Priority is given to proposals which demonstrate an
interest in the evaluation of the effectiveness of various applications of
transactional analysis theory. Priority is given to those applicants
who either are current members of the ITAA or have demonstrated a high level of
competency in the theory and practice of TA. The amount of the award
is determined by the total amount of monies available within the Fund per
fiscal year, the amount of money already distributed and the specific amount of
money requested in each proposal.
There is no formal grant application for the
Eric Berne Fund for the Future. For more information, see Questions & Suggestions for EBFF Applications.
The Scholarship Grant Fund
The Scholarship Grant Fund was designed to
provide training in transactional analysis for members with limited financial
means and a commitment to become certified. Grants may be considered for:
- Training in transactional analysis, including training
fees, tuition for ongoing training or selected workshops, room and board
(related to residential training programs only), books and supplies, contract
filing fees and both written oral exam fees.
- Attending an ITAA conference in the form of a Conference
Fee Waiver for registration for the main conference. Awards are not considered
for pre-conference workshops, travel, room and board.
- ITAA Dues Waiver for hardship reasons.
Grants are available to any ITAA member in any
country who has been a member for one year prior to making application.
A Scholarship Grant Fund application must be
completed in full for all requests for training grants. (Please contact the
ITAA office for an application.)
The application does not need to be completed
for either a Conference Fee Waiver request or Dues Waiver. Instead, applicants
are requested to write, fax or e-mail the ITAA office stating what the request
is for and a brief explanation of the applicant's current situation.

Grant Fund, along with The Scholarship Grant Fund Application for Financial
Aid, see Scholarship Grant Fund.
The TALent Program
Residents of many economically disadvantaged
countries may be eligible for dues reductions through the "TAlent" program.
This program provides a dues equalization formula designed to make the
association economically accessible to everyone. In order to realize this goal,
the members of ITAA support the development of a dues equalization formula that
allows for adjustments to be made for different nations in many parts of the
world.
For more information about the TALent Program,
see Membership Information.
